South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit’s (SCW) communications and IT teams have launched this brand new Hampshire Health Record (HHR) website, to celebrate 10 years since it began.
Our new website has been recreated to explain the process and benefits of HHR to the public and health and care staff. It also features up to date news stories and research papers.
HHR has transformed how patient data is shared between hospitals, GP practices, community care and social services in Hampshire. It supports the Five Year Forward View plan to make NHS organisations paperless by 2020. HHR stores data digitally and is made accessible to appropriate health and care staff. This contributes towards more efficient and accurate treatment.
To date, 129 GP surgeries are using HHR, as well as many Hospital Trusts and the South Central Ambulance Service.
Clinical Lead for HHR, Dr Mark Kelsey, said; "We are committed to making sure that patients and professionals are informed about the Hampshire Health Record. The new website makes it much clearer and easier to find this information. HHR has been a huge benefit to GPs like me, and we have ambitious plans for the next 10 years. Keeping our patients informed about our service and the way we respect their information is key to making sure those plans are successful."
